Sunshine Sailing From Portugal to North Africa

Experience stunning scenery whilst sailing down the Portuguese coast, catch your first scent of Africa as we head towards wild Cape St Vincent, and savour the hustle & bustle of Tangier's exotic markets on our 10 day voyage.

If you need to build some miles towards your sailing certificates, our itinerary promises some exciting coastal sailing and night passages. You will also have the chance to practice and hone your skippering and passage planning skills.

With plenty of time ashore to discover the diversity of cultures and soak up the history of this seafaring region, this is really not the Mediterranean you thought you knew. From deserted windswept beaches to Flamenco and snake charming this is truly a memorable sailing trip with a difference.

Need a bit more time? Why not combine your stay with our Cruise to the Balearics , or arrive a few days earlier or leave a little later and have extra time enjoying quiet harbours.

8th	Arrive on board and settle in; sail to the picturesque fishing village of Cascais a few miles along the coast for an evening stroll along the promenade and dinner.
9th	Set sail early along the Portuguese coast to Sines, the birthplace of explorer Vasco da Gama. Barbeque dinner on board.
10th	Get your first breath of African air as we round the wild and rugged Cape St Vincent and call into Sagres or Lagos.
11th	Take the morning to explore Sagres and the museum of Henry the Navigator. Leave late evening for a night sail to Cadiz, arriving near dawn.
12th	Spend the day ashore exploring this wonderful Spanish city with its blend of moorish influence & vibrant street life. Optional trip to Seville for the evening.
13th	Leave late morning for the sail around the coast to the fishing village of Barbate for a fish lunch & barbeque dinner on board.
14th	Set sail before daybreak for our sail to the bustling port of Tangier on the North African Coast. Time ashore in the afternoon for exploring the medina and rocking the Kasbah at night!
15th	Spend the morning drinking mint tea & haggling for souvenirs or trying a Turkish Bath. Afternoon sail to the windy town of Tarifa to explore this lazy surfers paradise.
16th	Morning sail on to Ceuta, a Spanish enclave on the coast of Africa. Time to wander the or souvenirs before dinner ashore in a Moroccan restaurant.
17th	Early morning sail to Gibraltar across the busy straits. Moor up and say our goodbyes.
