Sunshine Sailing From Gibraltar to the Balearics

Practice your Spanish and your sailing skills on our 10 day voyage from Gibraltar to the Mallorca. With great food, wines and a chilled out lifestyle, Spain continues to be a favourite holiday destination, vibrant with culture, history and fiestas. Sailing along coastal Spain brings a whole new perspective to a country you might think you know....

If you need to build some miles towards your sailing certificates, but don't want to venture too far from the coast, then our Spanish sailing itinerary promises some picturesque coastal sailing and night passages. You will also have the chance to practice and hone your skippering and passage planning skills along the way.

With plenty of time ashore to enjoy the tapas & rioja, and explore the cobbled streets and cathedrals, we can always find a quiet anchorage away from the hustle and bustle of tourist town. From crystal clear blue coves to Flamenco and bull fighting this is truly a new way to see Spain.

Need a bit more time? Why not combine your stay with our Cruise to the Sardinia, or arrive a few days earlier or leave a little later and have extra time enjoying quiet harbours.

22nd	Arrive on board and settle in; short familiarisation sail in Gibraltar Bay and barbeque dinner on board..
23rd	Set sail early along the Spanish coast to the picturesque village of Duquesa for lunch with its quaint harbour and great restaurants. On to Estepona for the night.
24th	Sail to the famous Puerto Banus; home to many superyachts and their super-rich owners. Then to Benalmadena for dinner.
25th	Sail to Costa Almeria a part of Andalucia famous for its Troglodite houses. Stop overnight at the fishing port of Adra, for a seafood dinner.
26th	Sail to Cartagena around the coast of the Cabo de Gata nature reserve; a lunar landscape used in the past as a filmset by Sergio Leone for spaghetti westerns!
27th	Day ashore in Cartagena, a maritime enclave steeped in Arabic & Roman history and boasting a large amphitheatre and more great restaurants. Overnight to Alicante.
28th	A morning ashore exploring Alicante's colurful and vibrant boulevards. Overnight sail to Ibiza.
29th	Restful morning exploring the beautiful cobbled streets of Ibiza 'Dalt Vila' or old town guarded by high walls & ramparts. Afternoon sail to Northern Ibiza for a quiet night time anchorage under the stars.
30th	A final day's sail to Mallorca for an evening along the glittering boulevard of Palma's seafront or a quiet backstreet tapas bar with some local music.
31st	A morning ashore for relaxing & souvenir hunting, and say our goodbyes.
